So, for starters, I have a pirated version of GTA 5 for pc. (I've bought it twice for 360 and once for Xbox One) its version 877. its been working just fine until somehow a second antivirus program was downloaded to my computer. i deleted the app and didn't realize it deleted my steam_api64.dll from my GTA 5 directory, so i got the dll file back from the internet, but now i get this error. ive put alot of work into getting my mods how i liked em and just fucking finished tweaking everything to perfection and id like to not have to restart all over. any suggestions?
it seems all dll files are where they should be including Steam_api_ext64.dll.

before this the error was the steam_api64.dll was missing but i downloaded it and pasted it then this error came. When i go to the _redist folder and run the QuickSFV it says the status of steam_api64.dll as "FAILED. CRC mismatch" its says that 1 file is bad (steam_api64.dll )

plz help it took 2 months to download this game i really want to play this
When i go to the properties of the game no window of local files is there just one shortcut window with target and start in boxes .i changed the target to "K:\Program Files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\GTA5"

now the same error is comming . I moved the steam folder from c drive to k drive because it has more space .open the image in new tab to read its very small:) thx for the help

Right click the game's name in your Steam games list and click "properties" in the drop down menu. Then click on the "Local Files" tab and in that menu select "Verify Integrity of Game Files...".

Don't worry, all it does is scan the game files. It does NOT re-download them. However, it WILL download any pieces that may have gone "missing", so to speak, during your lengthy download. So be patient with it.

Theoretically, that should fix your issue (assuming you haven't tried it already), as it sounds like you are missing some very small files that slipped through the cracks either during download or install. This should fix that.

My other idea is that you somehow didn't download it to a valid Steam directory, in which case all you have to do is cut (or copy)/paste the game into (Drive Letter):\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common. If that path doesn't exist, just create it.

Keep in mind your "program files" folder won't have the "(x86)" bit if you are running 32-bit Windows.
